How to Become the Woman You Want to Be (and Walk Into Every Room Like You Own It)

I went from watching other women do what I wanted to becoming her. This is exactly how.

How to Become the Woman You Want to Be (and Walk Into Every Room Like You Own It)
The short answer

You become the woman you want to be by deciding who she is first, then acting like her before you feel like her. Write her in present tense (how she trains, eats, rests and what she refuses to tolerate), make one decision as her every day, and stop explaining your standards to people who were never going to support them.

Key takeaways

  • Vague goals get vague results. You cannot train your way to a woman you cannot see.
  • Find a muse, not to copy her, but as a compass for the habits you want.
  • Act as her before you feel like her. The feeling follows the decisions.
  • Turn the routine into a ritual: "I get to go to the gym", not "I have to".
  • Stop explaining yourself. The people who question your standards are usually confronted by them.

Why do confident women make you feel so small?

Women want to be HOT AS F***. You know the woman. She walks into the room and everyone stares. Her body is carved, her aura is untouchable, her energy is magnetic, and her scent... well, you know how I feel about scent.

And you have felt what happens next. Your shoulders cave. You fidget with your clothes. You question your hair, regret skipping the fake tan last night, and think about the last six months you skipped at the gym. And then, in your head, you start justifying why she is the way she is. Genetics. More money. She has it easier. She's just lucky.

Here is where it digs a little deeper. She brings up the little girl who was rejected by boys at school... bullied for being fat. The girl teased for her clothes, never picked for anything. The woman who got knocked back from jobs, who got cheated on. It all comes rushing back in that one moment: you are not enough, and you never have been.

If that is a punch to the soul, good. I don't say it from a place of judgement. I say it because this was me. I was the tragic sidekick with the cheating wannabe DJ boyfriend, minus $100 in my bank account, tacky blonde extensions, overweight and miserable. I watched other women do what I wanted... and then I became HER.

I am now the woman who walks into any room and you feel my aura before you see it. I am the woman with the body, the bank account, the life. I am that b****. And as someone who walked too many days in those other shoes, I have made it my mission to help as many women as I can do the same. You can call me Mother f***in Teresa.

How do I become the woman I want to be?

Here are the three steps I used, and the ones I walk women through every day.

Step 1: Get crystal clear on who she is

Building the body is not just about the outside. It is about who you become in the process. And that starts with getting absolutely crystal clear on who that woman is, because vague goals get vague results.

You cannot train your way to a woman you cannot see. You cannot meal prep your way to a woman you do not believe you are. The women who get the body, and keep it, decided who they were becoming before they touched a single training plan.

So the first thing you do is find your muse. Not to copy her. To use her as a compass. Find the woman whose energy, standards and confidence you want, and study her habits. She moves her body every single day, not because she has to but because she is that woman. She eats in a way that fuels her, not punishes her. She protects her sleep, her energy and her time like they are non-negotiable. Because to her, they are.

Those habits are not the result of her being hot. Those habits are the reason she is.

Can you act like your future self before you feel like her?

Yes, and this is the part that changes everything. You start making decisions as her before you feel like her. You act like her first. And slowly, without even realising it, you stop performing her and you just become her.

Then you build the structure around her: training built for your body and nutrition that fuels you and makes you glow from the inside out. Not restriction. Not a 1200 calorie plan that makes you miserable and binge by Wednesday. A way of eating that makes you feel like the woman you are becoming.

One woman I coached had been trying to change her body for years. She came in exhausted and convinced she was just someone who could not follow through. She did the identity work first. She built the structure. She stopped fighting herself. She walked into her 40th birthday in a red satin gown and said it was the best night of her life, not because of a number, but because she felt beautiful and confident in a room with everyone looking at her.

Step 2: Make your life feel rich

Most of you are walking around with a broke mindset. I say that with love, because I had it, and it was costing me everything. It sounds like this: I'll start Monday. I just need more motivation. I've tried everything. I don't have time. Maybe next year.

Getting rich in every sense means going from the woman who is always almost ready to the woman who is already there. You silence the inner critic: that voice narrating your failures is not the truth, it is just the most repeated thing in your head. You put the past in the ground: every failed Monday, every abandoned program. And you build the athlete mindset. The athlete does not wait to feel motivated. She shows up because she is the woman who shows up.

Then you turn the routine into an experience instead of a grind. She does not say "I have to go to the gym." She says "I get to go to the gym." She puts on an iconic outfit, makes her iced latte, puts her headphones in and walks in like the main character. The rich woman does not grind. She curates.

When the process feels rich, you stop dreading it. When you stop dreading it, you stop skipping it. When you stop skipping it, you become her.

One of my clients was on the phone to me in tears three months before her Europe trip. She didn't feel like herself anymore. She lacked confidence, felt uncomfortable in her own skin, and was struggling to recognise the person looking back at her in the mirror. She did the work. She went to Europe. She went to her best friend's wedding in Italy. And for the entire trip, not a single moment of self-consciousness. She was in every photo. She wore every outfit. That is what making your life rich does. It doesn't just change how you look. It changes how you live.

Step 3: Stop explaining yourself

This is the hardest step. Not because it is the most work, but because it asks you to stop. Stop explaining yourself. Stop justifying your choices to people who were never going to support them. Stop shrinking so other people feel comfortable. Stop waiting for permission to take up space.

She is not cold. She is not arrogant. She is just done spending her energy on opinions that have nothing to do with where she is going. She does not explain her food to the table. She does not justify leaving early for her workout. Because she knows what most women don't: the people who question your standards are usually just confronted by them.

One woman I coached came in having tried everything. She was the woman who would get two weeks in, life would happen, and she'd be back at Day One with the shame of failing again sitting on top of everything else. She lost 29.3 kilograms. She celebrated her 30th birthday and told me she wasn't nervous about a single photo being taken. She was asking for more. Her friends and family commented on how confident she was. She is not going back. Not because she is perfect, but because she became the woman who does not go back.

How do you walk into a room with confidence?

You walk in as the woman you decided to be. Not because you are perfect, but because you are so full of your own direction that there is no room left for the noise. She is not starting over on Monday. She is not wearing the oversized shirt to the beach. She is disciplined because she became the woman those habits belong to, and then everything followed.

She is not a fantasy. She is a decision.

Do this today

Write out your muse. Not what she looks like, who she is. How she moves through her day. What she eats. How she trains. What she refuses to tolerate. Write her in present tense. Make her real. Then make one decision as her today. Just one.

Questions

How do I become the best version of myself?

Decide who she is first. Write her down in present tense: how she trains, eats, rests and what she won't tolerate. Then make one decision a day as her, and let the habits build the identity.

How do I act like my future self before I feel like her?

Ask "what would she do right now?" at every decision, and do that, even when you don't feel like it. The feeling comes after the decisions, not before.

How do I glow up mentally, not just physically?

Start with the inner critic. The voice telling you that you always quit is not the truth, it is just the most repeated thing in your head. Put the old failures in the ground, and build the habit of showing up whether you feel motivated or not.

How do I walk into a room with confidence?

Confidence comes from keeping promises to yourself. When you are training, eating and living like the woman you decided to be, you walk in with evidence, not hope.

How do I stop caring what people think?

Stop explaining your choices. The people who question your standards are usually confronted by them, and you never owed anyone a justification for taking care of yourself.
